Graduation is almost here! - Baton Rouge Senior Photographer

That's right class of 2009 is almost out of school. Seniors, have you gotten your senior portraits done? No... what you waiting for?
I am trying to catch up with all my editing and posting. Here's one from the latest senior session. Just as a reminder - the casting call is still going on for babes and bellies. Email me for more details.

Spring has Sprung...

Last week I the pleasure of working with these two little ones again. We tried to create a springy look [springy - my kind of spring] - I even brought Coco along. But he was more interested in running in the backyard than posing by the flowers. Miss Ainsley is a tough cookie - she's all lips looking at me like "I do not want to sit here, I want to play". Too cute.

Wesley - Baton Rouge Newborn Photographer

Everyone, meet Wesley at only 5 days old. This little man was such a wonder to work with. He behaved so well throughout the session. Slept right through all the changing of poses and being nakey. So little and precious...I wanted to hug him all the time. Mom & Dad, both grandmas, auntie and friends were all there for his first photo shoot. We were just all in awe of how cute he was just dreaming away... enjoy the preview of your little one.

back from vacation

I am finally getting around to posting some pictures from my trip. The one above is from my friend's wedding... I am with my two aunts and my mom. Guess who's my Momma? I'm always told that I look so much like my aunt - its a squinted eye thing [my mom is to my right :)]
This trip has made me miss home more than ever. Since I went without James I felt that I was a single young teenager again living at home with Mom & Dad. I got really sick while I was there and Mom was there to take care of me and spoil me rotten. Another big thing was that I brought Coco along. It was very unexpected and quite a surprise. James and I decided that it would be best for him to come along the night before the trip. So, I rushed and called the airline to see if it was still ok. My family was so excited to meet Coco. He fit right in with the crazy bunch.
This has become one of my favorite pictures of my Dad. Not the greatest in a photography sense - he just looks younger to me, strong and hardworking. He was putting up a fence in the farm and digging a hole with his Bobcat. The next one is riding our little cart around - Coco was the driver...
Why he decided to pick the biggest stick, beats me. This was the dirtiest I've ever seen him. Digging in the dirt, rolling around in the sand and getting into all sorts of trouble. We both can't wait to go back and visit again. Seems like Coco won't be left behind anymore. Wherever I go, he comes too!

Stephanie & Leo's e-Session

I'm back! What a lovely vacation... so sad it's over. I have lots and lots of pictures to still upload, edit and all that good stuff. But, this couple couldn't wait. I was so anxious to see what their session looked like. Not only was I so syked to be in my most favorite place in the world - and to get to work with such fun and amazing couple was just awesome. OK - we were in Ocean Drive for our photo shoot [for those who are reading the blog for the first time - I was in Miami - my beloved home town]. There was some kind of boat show going on and lots of people just hanging out- perfect for setting the mood. I was so thrilled to start off on a wonderful sailboat as our first location. Just fabulous! We had that perfect Miami weather that I missed so much and tons of sunshine. Steph and Leo are naturals - no need to tell them to look lovey and fresh- they did so effortlessly. It was such a pleasure to work with them - and I enjoyed it so much. I kept laughing in between shots at the looks that these two gave each other. I couldn't just pick a couple to post - I love the whole collection- so guys, enjoy your extended preview.
There is still more to come about my time in Miami. Haven't quite settled in home yet.. will be posting back with more soon.

a message from Coco

Coco would like to share with everyone an invitation to go watch the Chihuahua movie. It is now out on DVD. It's so cute! If you are a dog lover- especially if you have little chihuahuas- it will definitely be a favorite. It is now Coco's top pick- maybe because of all the barking - he just loves it. So go on to blockbuster and check it out.
On another note, I have been sick with what I thought was just a stomach bug. It's a bit more complicated. Can't wait to get rid of all my stomach issues and eat some Cuban food. Which by the way... I am leaving to MIAMI tomorrow! Kinda nervous of traveling by myself - but it will all go away once I am there. I will be posting tonight [in between all my packing and watching LOST] a preview of my maternity shoot this weekend. I am trying to catch up before I leave. I will still be available though email and my cell phone once I am gone. I am hoping that I will be having so much fun that I won't even have time to check emails - that never seems to happen. I am attached to the mac where ever I go. I am looking forward to my friend's wedding this Saturday - Cristy, it's getting close!!! Can't wait to see everyone.
