NOLA DBUI group shoot

A couple weeks back I had mentioned to you all that I was going to participate in a group shoot in New Orleans. We had such a good time. I loved getting together with so many photographers that I had never met before. I have been so antsy to show you all the results of our little adventure. So, now I am taking a break from my client's sessions and editing to share all the fun that we had that day. These first couple ones were taken by my husband James... I was so proud of him! When I got home I had to take a sneak peek and edit just a couple of me... so if you are a friend on facebook you might of already seen some. I hadn't really gotten my picture taken since our wedding... here and there sometimes... but this felt like that day three years ago all over again.
Kayla was brave enough to trash her dress while I was dancing around in the street. I was so glad that James got a couple of them having fun in the water. After I pranced around in my wedding dress throughout the city... it was time for me to shoot. So we went back to Mark's loft so I can change and meet up with our next two models. These two girls haven't gotten married yet so this was a bridal shoot treat! The girls are cousins [ how sweet is that to not only get married around the same time, plan your weddings together but also have a photo shoot together! ].
Now onto some of my favorites that I have gotten so far from my photographer friends. I wasn't nervous at all until I saw how many people where there. I was scared to see what I would look like... but after seeing everyone's work - I was convinced that I would of regretted not doing it. First up is the fabulous Courtney Dellafiora. Super hip and fun chick - I had a great time following her direction. Courtney does "amazing" boudoir work... love checking out her blogs all the time.
This next photographer has easily become one of my favorite buds to talk to and share stories about everything photography. Brandon O'neal or how I jokingly started calling him that day... Branson... [ I had to :) ] is an awesome professional. He has a very artistic approach to all his sessions... its so refreshing seeing what he comes up with time after time. I love all the pictures that he has shown me of me... and this first one is going on my wall. If you check out his site... my picture is on the main slideshow... (yes, I am excited about that too).
These next ones are from the girl behind LA182 Weddings, Evelyn. I loved my shoes... and everyone did too. It's a photographer thing to get lots of shoe shots... and I LOVE them all.
Last, Monica & her husband attended Partner Con and are from Indiana... they each have their own site... but these were from Monica Z & the other is from Mandi Nikole. You can click here to see more on her blog.
Behind the scene pictures are usually my favorites. This is us... having fun doing what we love. Some were taken by James and others by Brandon. That is Tina Rodosta on make up duty... click here for more of her info.
Thank you so much to Mark Eric for arranging us all together. I think that you can see how much fun we had through all the pictures. There were so many other photographers there that I would love to showcase their work... I will post some more on here as their pictures become available. To all the wonderful friends I made... thank you so much for quick previews and awesome pictures... I would do this again in a heart beat. Can't wait till we get together again!

1,2,3 boys for me

I'm starting this story just by saying "little boys rock!"... I was so excited to shoot this family after talking to the Mom... she told me that she wanted REAL pictures. Just of the boys doing their thing. I love it when that happens. These three little ones knocked my socks off. I usually have no energy in the morning... but with these boys I was dandy. Alex, Matthew and Ben... my leaf buddies.
Some family portraits can be super boring for kids... no one likes to just sit there. I am one of those that can't sit still for too long anyways. If given the chance... little boys will find a way to entertain themselves. I hadn't seen the leaves until this happened. The BEST IDEA ever. Wonderful way to break the ice? Throw leaves at your photographer. You would think that the big boys would be the bad ones here... nope. Check out the little man... he was the sneakiest of them all!
Mom & Dad were awesome... their kids really enjoyed being around them. Everyone played it cool & worked the camera. Lesley, there are so many good moments... I had the hardest time deciding what to post. I loved shooting you guys and enjoyed every minute of the processing time. Your family is great - can't wait to meet with you and share!
I have been neglecting the blog lately (sorry blog!)... so things are a bit out of order. I will soon get back on blogging track & post previews of past birth & newborn sessions... pictures from my modeling experience in NOLA... and all that good stuff. Now I am off to a maternity session. Enjoy the cooler weather everyone!
